Fantastic Worlds and Where to Find Them
Spreker: Eleanor Spring (API) | Engels | 12:15-13:00 | C0.110 Are we alone in the Universe? What other worlds could support life? Can we find these worlds, and how? These are just some of the questions that astronomers who specialise in the study of exoplanets - planets outside our Solar System - are working to answer. In this talk, Eleanor will present a short history of the study of exoplanets, and explain some of the big challenges facing astronomers who want to know more about these elusive distant worlds. This talk will be given in English, with slides written in Dutch.
